Kaycee and Daddy playing while Mommy is in laborIt's taken me a while to finally get this post up, but better late than never : ) Friday afternoon I decided it was time to drink some castor oil and get my little bun out of the oven. I drank the castor oil at about 2 o' clock in the afternoon and then went for a 30 min walk with Kaycee and my mom. I went to bed at about 11 o' clock Friday night feeling a bit crampy, (i didn't know i was having contractions since I didnt know what they had felt like yet). I woke up to what i thought were terrible poop cramps because of the castor oil, at about 1:30 in the morning. I sat on the toilet for a little while thinking something would happen, but of course nothing happened. So I got back into bed to try and fall back to sleep and as soon as I laid down, my water broke!! I was soooo happy but contractions were awful!! We ended up getting to the hospital a little after 2 and we found out i was only 2 centimeters dialated.. an hour later i was at a 3 and then 2 more hours later i was ready to push. I pushed for about 30 min and he was out!! We were so happy that everything went well for having a VBAC. He came out at a suprisingly small 8 pounds 4 ounces, (small for us). So happy to have him here and so happy to not have a c section! : )
